Church of the Future: It’s the Year 2034…WiiWorship??

I came across this great article called Church of the Futurein Collide Magazine – well, actually, a blog that I read linked to it!

He groups three types of churches of the future, the Giga-churches, Middle-churches, and Nano-churches.  I actually like these pre-fixes and might use them to name the types of gatherings we have with Tribe!

There are holograms, the big-six, networks, the music incorporates hip-hop, techno and world-music, there’s a decrease in music with an emphasis on new media and web based interactive experiences, touchscreen displays, mobile interaction, with a myriad of different technologies being used simultaneously to communicate and provide participatory experiences in a church gathering.

What can I say – I like it!!

I’ve been thinking a lot about how we could do that today – not just in 2034…

My best invention was for everyone to have Wii remotes, and nun-chucks, and we have a combo-game of singstar and wii-fit called WiiWorship!!

Not sure if that will take off – I’ll call Nintendo during the week…
